Dan Poynter

When I first conceptualized this Writing for and By Coaches web site, I considered the idea of including a link to Dan Poynter's site, perhaps in various places. However, I think that he has so much of value to anyone who is drawn to the Writing for and By Coaches web site, that I decided to devote a full page to him and his work.

While I've focused Writing for and By Coaches toward publishing on the Internet rather than traditional books, I expect that many coaches and consultants who find this web site will also be interested in book writing. Also, Dan has many resources beyond publishing traditional books. He also models some wonderful collaborative Internet behavior and generosity of spirit.

Self-publishing Expert

I first became acquainted with Dan many years ago when I self-published one of my books. At that time, his book, Dan Poynter's Self-Publishing Manual, was probably the only one of its type on the market. (Now there are a number of other similar books, each with its own style, although likely the authors have read this one.)

Dan's Self-Publishing Manual helps you to write, print, and sell your own book. I followed all his suggestions years ago and bought an updated version when I recently published 6 CD guided meditation albums.

Even if you have no intention of self-publishing your own book, you will find a wealth of information for all aspects of the writing, publishing, or marketing process.

Dan Poynter's ParaPublishing.com

Dan has many resources at his web site. Below I've listed some of the sections of the ParaPublishing.com web site. I highly recommend his Newsletter, which you can signup for right at his home page. You'll find resources regardless of where you are in the publishing process.
