ArticlesThe following articles are carefully chosen to assist coaches and consultants in writing for the Internet. In this selection of articles, I'm especially focused on the infrastructure and approaches to consider in using the Internet more effectively to publish your writing and, directly or indirectly, to publicize your coaching services. As narrowed as I've tried to define the types of articles to include, this is still enormous territory to cover. I've been very selective, aiming at touching on some important areas with resources that lead you to other resources. If you want hundreds, thousands, or even millions of articles on such topics as these, visit some Article Directories or use the search function on the left navigation bar. I've taken the time to write a preface to each article to let you know why I've chosen it for this site. Many of these articles are not written especially for professional coaches and consultants, yet I feel that the articles have value in themselves and usually reference additional resources. The articles also serve as models for discussing the elements that make good articles for the Internet. I don't consider this an Article Directory, but a small collection of articles. They only touch the surface of what is available. A good place to begin your study, with suggested resources to continue. Tell a friend about these articles I've arranged the articles in three different broad sections; each of these sections is further divided: As the title suggests, Writing, Re-writing, Editing includes articles about writing and editing. As of this initial launch, this section is relatively light because there is information elsewhere at this site about writing. In particular, please download the free eBook, Tips to Tap the Writer in the Coach which will subscribe you to the "Tips to Tap the Writer in You" email list. If you've written or know about articles that enhance this section, please check the information about submitting an article at the bottom of this page. The section on Internet Presence focuses on some ideas to help you to leverage the power of the Internet. If you're relatively new to the Internet you may not realize that your article or other works are considered "published" when they appear at a web site. In this section, my intention is to introduce you to some basic concepts in selected articles and provide links and RSS feeds to assist your exploration. Many other aspects of the Internet and other publishing will be covered as this web site expands to meet your needs. The section on Publishing Your Writing that Showcases Your Coaching has some overlap with the previous section. Here are ideas about using your writing as a means of marketing your coaching/consulting skills through the distribution of your writing. As you can imagine, I think that true professionals need to be judicious about how they market themselves on the Internet. There is considerable crass marketing that is not professional. Instead of crass marketing, I encourage you to create and give something of value, then take the credit for the written piece. The phenomenon of Article Marketing is perfect for professional coaches and consultants. The information in this section is valuable for the purpose of getting your writing published on the Internet, especially to showcase your coaching or consulting. Submitting an ArticleWhile I'm not seeking lots and lots of articles for this section, I'm eager to publish articles that are of assistance to a special group of people (experienced, professional coaches and consultants) in their writing and Internet publishing efforts. I also want to provide some exposure to those who might be of assistance to this group. I'm looking for intelligent, well-written articles with depth from established experts and entrepreneurs. I've prepared an autoresponder email message explaining the article submission requirements. The autoresponder system I use* requires that you confirm that you want to receive the message. From time to time, I'll write a message to those who have requested the guidelines, so that you can stay updated on the site. You may, of course, unsubscribe at any time, including immediately after you receive the Article Submission Guidelines. * I use Aweber Communications, which I explain in the emailing services section. Or if you prefer, you can go directly to Aweber Communications to check their services. |
